Starting from Zero: The Next Genesis by Edwin Escolero

S0NG – LOG 25

Cold air blankets an incomplete construction site in an underground tunnel. Rail tracks lay on the ground, however, the foundation is yet to be laid out. A wooden barricade partitions the section which has been finished and that which remains incomplete. A path is illuminated by flickering light fixtures that hang in the ceiling while the unfinished section remains patch black.

S0NG LOG 25Standing in the tracks S0NG goes through his journal and searches for an entry that contains a map that he sketched. He recalls the rail system that he found buried underground by sand. After gauging the stability of the structure the explorer decides to venture further in order to find an entry point to the city that remains buried by the sands of time.

Walking further in the tunnel the lone man attempts to trace the origin of the tracks in hopes of locating the zone which has eluded him. The sound of footsteps echo through the hollow tunnel as the trekker advances forward.

After a long detour S0NG reaches a station and immediately approaches the map to ascertain his current location. With a flashlight on hand he scans the map for vital information when he finds a lead. Discovering a potential entry to the city through a stairwell near an elevator the explorer prepares to set out.
