S0NG – LOG 24

Mineral fragments float in the air within cave walls in the aftermath of a boulder’s detonation. Through the cloud of smoke a pile of rubble remain where a huge rock once stood blocking a path leading to the beyond. A silhouette of a person standing still can be seen among the dust particles in the air that shrouds the light.

A group of workers chatter as they cart away rubble inside a cavern. With pickaxe on hand they chip away at the terra forging a path. One group digs through the solid crust while one adds light fixtures as the tunnel begins to take shape. The blue collar workers hum a tune as they pound the ground with their pickaxe.

S0NG LOG 24The smoke clears revealing a tunnel that goes further into the terra. Various minerals glow in the dark as S0NG passes through with a lantern on hand.

After a long venture through the infinite path S0NG reaches the end of the excavated route and comes across an incomplete railway system. Carefully hopping off from the crevasse in the cave walls the trekker lands on rail tracks. As he takes out his journal and starts writing the explorer is struck by a sense of déjà vu. Looking around his surrounding the lone man realizes he’s been through a similar path in the past.
